Who We Are

Your Hosts

Hi! We’re Kyle and Desiree — your hosts at Big Fun Stays TX. We’re proud parents of two young kids and passionate travelers who love creating memories with family and friends. Some of our best moments have come from adventures together, and we’ve hand-selected, designed, and cared for each of our properties to help you and your loved ones make those same lasting memories.

 

We’re local to Austin (where we live just minutes from our two city homes) and we spend lots of time vacationing at Canyon Lake. Because we don’t love the impersonal feel of big hotels or corporately managed rentals, our mission is to provide a personal, welcoming experience. We’re always available to our guests — as much or as little as you’d like — so you can enjoy your stay your way.

 

As a young family, we’ve designed our properties with both families and groups of friends in mind. Over the years, we’ve hosted hundreds of guests, and we’re constantly upgrading and improving our homes so each stay is even better than the last.

What are you check in and check out times?
Check in is 4 PM and check out is 11 AM.
Do you allow early check in?
We do our best to accommodate early check-ins whenever possible! Availability depends on whether the property is booked the night before and how much time our cleaning team needs to prepare for your stay. The best way to find out is to reach out a couple of days before your arrival, and we’ll let you know what options we can offer.
Is parking available on-site?
Yes, we offer on-site parking facilities, making it convenient and hassle-free for you to park your vehicle and have peace of mind throughout your vacation. No need to worry about finding a parking spot!
What amenities are provided in the rental?
Our rental properties are equipped with a wide range of amenities to enhance your stay. You can expect amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor patio, high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and in-unit laundry facilities. This house accommodated all of our needs. For a group of 11 it was perfect and we enjoyed our stay. The back yard was cozy and calm, the hosts were responsive and accommodating for all of our needs. They ensured all of our needs and concerns were addressed. We had a great trip to Austin thanks to this spot. The location was great, easy to find and had lots to do. The pool was even pre heated for us.

My wife and I rented Kyle's house to be close to our daughter for her birthday weekend. The house was very clean and as described. We hosted a brunch for our kids and their spouses, as well as their children. Even though the weather was too cool to swim, our grandchildren loved the house and backyard. There is much to keep them happily occupied, and the space in the backyard is thoughtfully used to the fullest.

My friends and I got away for a guys weekend in Austin and we couldn’t have lucked out any better with landing this home for our 5 day 4 night stay. Plenty of living spaces, beds, clean all around and the hot tub, pool and sauna were a plus!! The host, Kyle, was always responsive and made this stay so easy for us. At no time did he ever make us feel uncomfortable because there were seven men staying at his home. There is also a great taco stand down the street!!! Loved it, would definitely stay there again!!!

We had a group of 16 people for a bachelor party, and this was a perfect property for hosting a group this size! Plenty of beds, large gathering places, a fun and big backyard. We hired a hibachi chef and had the dinner in the backyard, which the space and patio furniture provided the best space. The location is perfect for Austin; 15 min from the airport, 5 from downtown, 5 from local groceries and bars. The hosts were very proactive in communicating and making the best of this experience. I would definitely be booking again next time I'm town.
